Almost perfect
What can I say. I've been buying Uf-Pro gear for the last 5 years and watched all the new versions and improvements the company has made. Kudos to that, keep going guys! Nevertheless, I'm afraid this iteration of the pants has some minor flaws that make the pants step a little back from the perfection Uf-Pro has always had. I'll get into detail at the end, but first, the summary-review (that IMO it will be more helpful than only focus on the cons found) PROS - Top-tier materials and construction - Great amount of pockets and space - Comfort as way of life CONS (further details below) - Ventilation could be improved - Placement of some pockets - Pocket flaps over zips - Are the knee adjustment strap really needed? ABOUT THE CONS: These are some issued I have encountered while using this pants (and therefore, are totally based on a personal opinion and must not be considered as criticism or "the law"). Also, I'm sure the team will improve the pants over the next year, so this might get deprecated in no-time =P. Also, keep in mind I come from using Striker XT/HT Gen.2 pants, and X series are meant for a different use, so some cons might not apply to everyone. - Ventilation. Striker XT version had this ventilation mesh as main material for the inner part of the knee pocket, allowing a better sweat evaporation and heat control. X-series has changed it for a more neopren-like material. This means that knee-area gets significantly warmer than before. On the other hand, the vertical zips on the thighs provide better air flow that the diagonal previous ones, at the cost of "exposing" more the legs. - Pocket placement. Knife pockets were placed at top-middle thigh section, making it accessible while wearing a first line or belt. Even got better placement in XT Gen. 3 pants. However, moving them to to the back of the top pocket interferes if a first line is being used in X-series, making them almost impossible to easy-operate them. - Pocket flaps. I know this X-series is military-oriented and got feedback from these guys, and that seemed to be the requested and winning choice for top-closing mechanism of the cargo pockets, along with the elastic cord. That being said, I find it less "secure" while moving that using a zip instead. But again, it is only a personal concern. - Knee straps. While it is true that help a little with knee-pad position while moving through difficult terrain, it seems they can be hooked with trees or bushes (it happened twice). As long as they can be removed, I consider it no to be a flaw itself. Just considering if they are really needed or they provide the necessary adjusment for something it was really not needed before Besides knowing that XT Gen 3 and X Gen 2 are meant for different environments and contexts, I cannot think other thing that the perfect pants would be a mix of that two. Last but not least. I totally recommend buying this ones. There are no better pants to be found in the market nowadays (IMHO)
Striker X Gen. 2
Five star all around. Fit, material, functionality, the pant is the ideal combat/training pant. Very well thought out design. This is the second pair I’ve bought from UF Pro. Worth the price in my opinion.
Striker X Gen.2 Combat Pants
The trousers look very good, however I had to return them because the sizing does not quite match the information on the website. I have a 78 cm waist and size 30 is much too small.
Great pants
These are the best camouflage pants I’ve ever had, they are extremely tough and definitely have enough pockets for all your stuff.. very well thought out! Excellent fit and they stay in place when you are bending over. They are a little expensive, but I’m gonna get another pair in the tan color
Pantalon striker x gen 2
