3-Layer Waterproof and Breathable Laminate
The main laminate construction blocks rain and wind while allowing moisture to escape, keeping conditions inside the garment dry and comfortable during sustained exposure.

Both jackets provide waterproof, windproof and breathable protection in severe weather. They also feature long dual-slider ventilation openings, the UF PRO Hood/Harness® system and air/pac® shoulder inserts.
The Monsoon X takes a lighter, more mobility-focused approach. It weighs 0.80 kg in size L and uses a low-bulk, 2-way stretch laminate for greater freedom of movement and easier packability. Its 6 mm air/pac® shoulder inserts are removable.
The Monsoon XT weighs 0.95 kg in size L and features permanently integrated 8 mm air/pac® shoulder inserts for additional cushioning when carrying a backpack, plate carrier or other tactical equipment.

No. Our Monsoon Gear comes pre-treated with DWR (durable water repellent) coating. You can read more about the DWR coating in our blog post here.
